A digital home for Adaraneeya Tharuwak.

A movie website that carries the film’s central idea beyond the screen—inviting people to recognise a dream, choose an experience and take a step towards it.

“ඔබේ සිහිනය සොයා ගන්න.” Find your dream. That simple invitation became the starting point for the official Adaraneeya Tharuwak website.

Instead of building a familiar film page made only of a trailer, cast list and booking link, we shaped an experience around participation. The audience does not just read about the story. They are invited into its emotional world.

The story behind the screen

A dream brought to cinema

Directed by Dilshan Amarasinghe, Adaraneeya Tharuwak follows a singer whose journey towards fame becomes a story of love, loss and a promise that stays with him. The film stars Saranga Disasekara, Shanudrie Priyasad, Sangeetha Weeraratne, Chanuka Prabuddha and an ensemble of familiar Sri Lankan performers.

It also marks an important personal milestone for Saranga Disasekara: his first feature-film production under Disasekara Films, while also taking the leading role. The result brings together the performer audiences know and the producer who had long wanted to create something of his own for Sri Lankan cinema.

Some projects begin with a brief. Others begin with a dream someone has carried for years.

Dinakshie Priyasad is an important part of that wider journey too. While she does not take a role in the film, Saranga has spoken about it as a dream they shared, and Dinakshie has supported the production and its promotional journey. Their daughter Saranya also appears briefly, connecting the family story behind the camera with the story reaching the screen.

The creative direction

One idea, carried from film to website

The campaign language asks people to think about the dreams they quietly hold and the people they would love to see win. That gave the website a clear job: turn an emotional message into a small, memorable action.

The visual world follows the film rather than sitting apart from it. Deep plum backgrounds, warm gold typography, soft light and cinematic stills create a sense of intimacy. Sinhala leads the experience, keeping its voice close to the audience it was made for.

The interaction

A clear three-step journey

  1. 01

    Choose a dream

Visitors begin with story-led cards that make an abstract question feel personal and easy to answer.

  2. 02

    Choose an experience

The next screen opens a collection of experiences and rewards—from movie tickets and special events to travel, dining and self-care.

  3. 03

    Send the wish

A focused form collects the essential details and gives the visitor a simple final action without losing the warmth of the campaign.

Design & delivery

Designed for the way the campaign travels

Film campaigns move through social posts, short videos and messages shared between friends. The destination therefore had to feel immediate on a phone. Large tap targets, short decisions, strong imagery and a visible sense of progress help people move from a Facebook or Instagram post into the experience without needing an explanation.

The structure also keeps the campaign flexible. Each dream and reward becomes a piece of visual content that can be recognised on the website and echoed across social media. That continuity matters: the click should feel like the next scene, not a move into a different brand.

01

Story first

The interaction grows from the film’s theme, not from a generic promotion.

02

Mobile first

The important journey stays direct and readable on the screen most visitors will use.

03

One visual world

Colour, imagery and language connect the movie, campaign posts and website.

The result

More than a film page

The finished experience gives Adaraneeya Tharuwak a useful digital home while it is now showing. It introduces the emotional world of the film, gives the campaign a destination and creates a reason for people to participate and share.

For us, it is a reminder that the best campaign websites do more than publish information. They find the one idea people should feel—and turn it into something they can do.
